Murals with buildings take the longest to paint. Levels and rulers are used to make walls and measurements as realistic as possible, especially when it is a customer's home depicted.
Sometimes just the atmosphere of a city is requested. Whatever the style or subject, each mural is personal to the homeowner, and much thought is given to the composition and details, which may include the family, pets and their names.
TILE BACKSPLASH
The homeowner wanted a tile mural combining the villages where each of his parents grew up in Italy. The tumbled marble tiles were numbered and precut to fit the stove backsplash.
The homeowners wanted a primitive style folk art mural on all the walls above the chair rail in their dining room - a fun challenge!
