Art has always been a big part of my life. My favorite past time as a child was lying on the floor filling in a coloring book with my crayons. A positive comment by a first grade teacher on a picture I drew was confirmation to what I already knew- I wanted to draw, paint and create! I am lucky to come from a very talented family, whose careers and/or hobbies range from house building, custom kitchen cabinet making, sewing of clothes and draperies, knitting master, fine artist, musicians (drums and sax), acting, radio host and even decorating. My other early love was nature and animals, especially cats. I studied Science and Art in college resulting in a combination of realistic detail and artistic freedom and creativity.
In 1988 I started Interior Decorating and was involved with it all-designing draperies, choosing wall paint colors and/or wallpaper, selling furniture, carpets and accessories, but by far what I most enjoyed and still love is teaching customers how to see their rooms in a new way. Analyzing a room, seeing what works and what doesn't and being able to explain why is so rewarding! I added faux finish painting and murals to my customer offerings in the mid nineties and it has become the main part of my business. I love it all!
